Marcello Gonçalves

(1972) One of the most in demand 7 string guitarists in Brazil today. He is a member of the group Rabo de Lagartixa and has a duo with Henrique Cazes, with whom he recorded the CD Pixinguinha de Bolso, dedicated to the work of the Choro master Pixinguinha and Vamos Acabar com o Baile, dedicated to the works of Garoto. Musical Director for several important projects including the documentary Brasileirinho, the CD/DVD Uma Noite Noel Rosa, Quando o Canto é Reza featuring Roberta Sá and Trio Madeira Brasil, as well as producer of Yamandú Costa & Valter Silva’s CD YV. He also has a solo career, recording and performing at international guitar festivals.
